Pupil Premium

At Peover Superior Primary School, we have high aspirations and ambitions for our children and we believe that no child should be left behind. We strongly believe that by nurturing a dedication and commitment to learning and by fostering the creation of a passion and thirst for knowledge is the difference between success and failure. As a school we strive to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential. Although Pupil Premium funding represents only a tiny proportion of our school budget, we ensure it is spent to maximum effect.

All children at Peover Superior directly benefit from the Pupil Premium Grant through intensive, targeted, highly effective teaching strategies which impact on whole school, small group and individual teaching. Additional support and interventions have had a significant impact on children’s attainment by eliminating barriers to learning and progress.

The progress made by our children receiving the Pupil Premium Grant reflects the hard work of highly trained and experienced staff, excellent partnerships with other outstanding primary schools and the establishment of an effective relationship between parents, combined with our vision and determination to ensure that every child succeeds.

Our key objective in using the Pupil Premium Grant is to continue to diminish the differences between pupil groups as well as support higher attaining pupils achieve greater depth across the curriculum.

Targeted support is being provided through one-to-one and small group tuition where need is identified. These interventions support children in knowing where they are and what they need to do to improve their work.
